A multigenerational living area with a complete makeover in a tiny aging holiday home where space, light, and layout were an issue. To fit within a 85,000€ budget.
The client vision
An indoor-outdoor feel with beach house vibes, emphasizing ergonomic design and natural light. The focus is on maximizing storage space while creating a significantly bigger, comfortable and inviting living area.
The solution
This stunning makeover maximizes space by removing walls and reorganizing the floor plan. In compliance with French coastal property restrictions, we added an extension, creating a new master bedroom and a chic bathroom in the transformed outdoor shed, complete with a double vanity, Italian shower, and small bathtub.
Natural light is enhanced with modern, larger openings that connect to the outdoor living area, while dark wooden and plastered walls were updated to white matte drywall, accented with natural wood elements. The custom kitchen, integrated under the stairs, features a central double-sided island for ample storage, with hidden storage in the dining bench trunk.
Nature-inspired elements unify the design with the surrounding pine landscape, and the wooden outdoor dining area, shower, and lounge create an inviting atmosphere perfect for a holiday retreat.
